Around Christmas time I was doing some shopping and came across many adorable socks in the cutest colors and designs. For some strange reason all I could think of when I saw them was how cute they would be as sock monkeys! So I gave it a try.
I scoured the net once again for a simple tute with lots of pics (I’m a visual person, however I always forget to take pics of my own stuff, go figure :P). SO for this sock monkey I used a tutorial from Craft with Confidence. This tutorial was super easy and I LIKE EASY!
My sock monkey varies in a few tiny ways, I’m sure it’s far more imperfect than the one from the tutorial, but I was very pleased with the results . . . I think her imperfections make her . . . ummm . . . quirky! My monkey has a hair bow just made from some leftover scrap sock and hand sewn to her head. She also has a scarf to match her “outfit”. Now for her photo shoot . . .
If you want to make one of these little lovelies, go check out Craft with Confidence for an in depth , easy to follow tutorial.
Now, I’m off to make two more for my boys!
