A few months ago I shared for the first time on IG, a small snippet of our basement family room. A space that was one of the main selling features of our home. When we first bought our home, we imagined endless nights of TV watching and board game playing, family dance parties and cousin sleepovers . . . but to be honest, it's been a very, VERY under utilized space. On any typical day you will find the sofa riddled with laundry, since this is where we tend to fold, or furniture piled on top of furniture as the space serves as a sort of furniture grace yard, where all the old or outdated furniture goes. And then, when I get the decorating itch, I try to make the most sense out of the space with what I have.
Hi Friends! It's been busy around here! I recently went back to work full-time, and have spent the past few weeks adjusting to being a working woman! I have so many fun updates to share with you in the coming weeks of our home so I hope you'll check back! Today, however, I wanted to share with you a last minute Thanksgiving/Fall tablescape. I used many of the items you saw glimpses of in my fall home tour, but this time a little more formal. If I'm being honest, I very rarely set the table . . . in fact, the main reason I wanted to share this post is because we just recently purchased a new, larger dining table . . . one that better suits our family of 6 and I needed a reason to dress it up.

In preparation for the holiday season, I like to think of ways to make our guests feel at home when they come to visit. We don't entertain that often due to the size of our home, however when we do, all of our guests come from out of state, which means they usually stay a night or two. I have some plans in the works to get our finished basement up to par for holiday entertaining, but for now I wanted to share with you a few little ways to get your bathroom guest ready for the holidays.
Hey Friends! Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm Carli, hoarder of vintage chairs, decorative mirrors and tiny bowls. I'm Justin's wife and a mom of four. I have an obsession with making my home beautiful on a budget and am strongly convinced that perfection is overrated! I hope you'll join me and find some inspiration along the way!
