I am so extremely ecstatic about this little project, that I couldn’t wait until the morning to post about it (even though it is currently 1:30AM and I have to be up in 5.5 hours!) I had been searching for something small to give my kids teacher’s seeing that we had transferred our children to a new school during the school year and they have helped tremendously to make my children’s tranisiton go smoothly. In my search, I came accross this blog called Testosterone Times Three, and the project is Teacher’s Gifts, a Crayon Monogram in a shadow box, just adorable!
So I ventured out to the stores to gather my materials: Crayons (I bought the dollar store kind), glue(but ended up using a combo of glue and my glue gun), shadow box frames (couldn’t find any so I used regular frames w/out the glass). I am soooooo thrilled with how they came out:
I added colorful gross grain to the trim just to spice it up a bit more, and instead of printing their names on the paper, I made “tags” with their names on them in colors that coordinated with the ribbon.
I took so many pictures because I was so excited! Maybe a little TOO excited! ***NOTE TO SELF: next time wait until glue dries before having a “Photo Shoot”, my B is sliding, haha!
To round the teacher’s gifts off, I placed the framed monogram in a small gift basket, with a candy dish filled with Dove chocolates, a little gourmet snack mix and a sticker decorated bottle of hand sanitizer. The pics I took didn’t do the total package any justice so I didn’t post.
