Upholstered Head Board: Complete

So I’ve been trying this new thing . . . it’s called starting something and and actually completing it– I think it works.  I posted the other day about my inspiration and my progress of making an upholstered headboard on a budget.

Here’s the finished product:

It’s not perfect, but it was a great way to get the look for less . . . what do you think?

I found your blog through my girlfriend in Utah. She linked me up here in California. You are back East. Don't you just love this blogging world? I think you are doing an awesome job. Very talented and you have given my girlfriend and I some great ideas. Although our respective kids are all grown and moved out. But we do have grandkids and can pass these ideas along to out daughter-in-laws. So FUN!

Hi Kim! Thanks so much for stopping by and for the awesome comment! You won't believe it, but I bought my bedding at Walmart, about a year ago, it's by Better Homes and Gardens-(I believe they are still selling it). I'm working on getting a canon rebel for x-mas so I can take REALLY good pictures, but we'll see if Santa comes through with one, lol! Thanks again!

Hello – I found your blog thanks to Brandi's post. I looove your bedroom, its so airy and fun without being too feminine. The headboard is fantastic, every time I see a DIY headboard, I think maybe I can do it… I will be following your blog – you have wonderful inspiration here!

Hello! I am following you know. Clicked over from the comment you left me on my blog. I barely got my feet wet on yours, but I love what I am seeing already. Your son's room is awesome and I am loving the headboard. Your room has a very sophisticated feel. That is what we are going for when we get around to doing ours.

Fantastic job!!!! I also made a similar style headboard with my hubby (pop by my blog to check it out if you have a moment). But tell me truthfully – how much do you despise nailheads now?! I'm pretty sure they are the worst little buggers in the world!!! Although, they do make things pretty, I'll give them that!Take care,Christinadesigningbynumbers.blogspot.com
