Hi Friends! If you are joining me from Iris Nacole, I welcome you to my Holiday Home Tour 2016! I am so excited to join a wonderful group of talented bloggers this year for the Winter Eclectic Home Tour hosted by Jess of Domicile 37. We are on day 3 of the tour, so be sure to check the bottom of this post for links to the other bloggers which you may have missed (Links are not live until day of the tour). So let’s get started shall we?
I’ve kept my decor fairly simple as usual, using lots of fresh greenery, cream, gray, silver and gold.
I love creating wreaths and decided to try something a little different for our front door this year, by spray painting my metal wreath form and adding an asymmetrical fresh greenery pattern and pine cones–easy-peasy!
Over the summer I came across these awesome wooden Christmas trees at Goodwill and thought they’d be a perfect addition to my holiday decor.
I love natural light and constantly keep our front door open, so I placed a faux mini tree in a pretty planter for our door stopper.
I adore my new sofa that was sponsored by Raymour and Flanigan. Its transitional style is great because it can be dressed up or down–the black leather-fringed throw adds a bit of edginess to it.
I’ve mentioned a kazillion times on instagram how I don’t keep a lot of decorative accessories around since we have a toddler, so during the holidays it’s no different, although he has been caught blowing on this little brass horn a time or two ๐
The gallery wall was updated with this little sign, something about the simplicity in it, makes me smile. The grapevine wreath has been there since my fall home tour.
If you visited my friend Jessica’s House Homemade tour, you’ll see that I totally copy-catted her stocking hanger idea—I mean, it’s genius, and she’s like my besty, so she doesn’t mind.
Around the TV, I tucked some excess Christmas tree branches and string lights and called it a day. Really, to me, anything with string lights feels magical.
Poinsettias are like THE holiday plant so I picked up a few and tucked them here and there. Whatever you do, do not put them outside-a little birdy told me it kills them ๐
I used my favorite Rustoleum spray paint and updated my JOY sign from last Christmas. I over did it with the spray paint so it looks all streaky-but I think it works.
All of the greenery used in my decor came from either my backyard or the Christmas tree. It makes me feel better knowing I didn’t spend any extra moola.
I also shared on Instagram how I added this old scarf to my campaign chest as a garland.
I hope you enjoyed my holiday home tour! Unfortunately I ran out of daylight so be sure to check back for part 2, where I’ll share how I decorate my kitchen and front porch for the holidays.
Please be sure to check out the next stop on the tour Angela at Blue I Style. Thanks so much for stopping by!
