10 Sleek and Stylish Lighted Ceiling Fans under $200 (and our new living room fan)

Sleek and stylish ceiling fans

Hey y’all!  How are you all doing?  Do you feel spring in the air?  I’m hoping it’ll be here sooner than later and am prepping for warmer weather by sharing some COOL ceiling fans, get it cool? No? Okay, let’s move on . . . if you follow me on Instagram and watched my story a couple of weekends ago you might have seen that I was lucky enough to find a ceiling fan that I’m pretty pleased with . . . but there will be more on that towards the end of this post.  Prior to finding the elusive, nice looking, sleek and modern lighted ceiling fan, I was at a loss.  First of all the ones I had been checking out were stupid expensive, like over $200 expensive, and quite honestly, I just didn’t want to pay that much.  So here’s a roundup of some ceilings fans for under $200 that I was considering.  (This post contains affiliate

The ceiling fan that we chose was #2, the Merwry Ceiling fan from The Home Depot.

I hadn’t actually planned on buying this fan and happened to stumble upon it while in search of something completely different (story of my life).

What I LOVE About it:

  • The fan works well and I appreciate the remote (perhaps, not as much as our almost two year old who thinks it’s his personal toy.)
  • It was fairly easy to install, the harder part was putting the fan together.

What I’d Change:

  • The LED lighting.  Having a ceiling fan with a light was important (although not as important as it’s general design and price), But we were used to having overhead lighting in our living room, but the LED lighting on this ceiling fan is very, very dim.

Here are some before and afters:

After

Overall we are pretty pleased with this ceiling fan and
its overall aesthetic.  It is a nice change from the drum chandelier that
we’ve had there for the past 5-6 years.

Do you have a ceiling fan in your home in need of an upgrade?

Wonderfully,

Thanks Alaya! And I have to take back one of the cons, if you hold down the light button on the remote it does actually get brighter so I'm much happier now 🙂

The new fan looks great and love how fancy it! So cool it has a remote control. Everyone gives me the side eye since we're in Cali and it gets crazy hot here, we have no ceiling fans! We had one in out LR and we replaced with a semi-flush mount drum shade — during the warm months we use our AC or Tower fan

Thanks Katrina! We use a lot of fans too, and when we moved here there were fans in the living room and kitchen, never thought I'd go back, but I'm really liking this fan so far!
