Hey, hey, hey! How’s everyone doing this fine Saturday? I’ve had a one of those weeks where the weekend couldn’t come fast enough! But, I’m thrilled because it feels like the weather may actually be warming up which makes my outdoor planning seem a little more feasible.
If you recall 2 years ago, I worked on my deck for the 1 Room 30 Days Challenge. I extended my deck, added more privacy and built some DIY storage boxes as well as an abundance of color!
Now that spring may actually be here to stay in New England– I’ll be able to start spending some time getting our yard and deck in order and prepared for summer, with the generous help of Raymour and Flanigan, as they have partnered with me for Deck Refresh 2.0!!!

Deck 201 |
Last year, I rid our deck of the bright and colorful vibe, in favor of a more modern and natural feel. We were in the process of selling our home last year, so the deck was used very sparingly and was never “complete” in my opinion. (We never ended up selling our home last year, more on that here).

This year, things on the deck have weathered, our fence was knocked down due to recent noreasters, which resulted in our storage benches being torn apart, along with the privacy panels–we were left with quite a mess!

I will be the first to admit, we didn’t prepare for the storms at all-hence the disaster |
So my hubs and I ventured into Raymour and Flanigan during a blizzard to shop for new outdoor furniture-I think everyone thought we were nuts, except Chris, the store manager, Chris gets me:
My buddy Chris is always there to lend a helping hand 🙂 |
I was so impressed with Raymour and Flanigan’s showroom selection of outdoor items, and was also pleased to see that they offer even more items online!
We were torn between the Bayshore sectional . . .
And the Montego sectional. . . But the Bayshore eventually won out because I liked the calm neutral colors and especially loved the fact that it is modular–which is great if you’re anything like me (like to change things around often!)
Below are the plans for this space—-ahhh! I can’t wait to see it all come together!
