I’ve partnered with Raymour and Flanigan and have received product and/or compensation in exchange for this post. As always, all expressed opinions expressed are 100% my own.
Hello Friends! The day has come: my Modern Coastal Deck Refresh Reveal! I am so happy with this outdoor space—and even more excited that the weather is finally cooperating with us in New England, and the opportunity to truly enjoy our new and improved outdoor space with family and friends is on the horizon!
Shopping at Raymour and Flanigan is always a pleasure. Chris, the Store Manager in Seekonk, MA, is always there to answer any questions and is extremely patient and helpful in providing product information.
As I mentioned in my Planning Post, the hubs and I visited the showroom back in March—during a BLIZZARD, so my thoughts and feelings about an actual functional outdoor space (without snow), just a few weeks later, seemed like a pipe dream. But we enjoyed our shopping experience at Raymour & Flanigan as usual, and we became a bit more hopeful that this space would come together as soon as we set our eyes on the Bayshore Modular Sectional.
This sectional is sooo comfortable. It’s lush seating invites guests to stay a while–take a nap even! And it’s perfect for entertaining, as it offers seating for up to 5!
I love mixing and matching furniture, and with Raymour and Flanigan’s wide selection, it makes it easy to truly customize my designs. One of the first items I chose to coordinate with the sectional, was the Covina Outdoor Tray table.
I love that the tray top is removable, making it easy to use for snacks or trotting it to and from the grill for easy serving.
I chose the Irina Outdoor Chairs because I feel that they accent the sectional so well, and give a nice nod to coastal New England with their crisp white, wooden frames and natural seat. The white wood adds a nice contrast to the gray wicker, and the wood tones on the seat add a touch of warmth to the space.
Over the last few years, I’ve been pretty loyal to my black and white striped umbrella, but I decided to tone down the contrast and kept it simple with the Ortega Umbrella in Natural, keeping things light and airy.

|Lodi Outdoor Serving Cart|
Let’s chat about this Lodi Outdoor Serving Cart, shall we?
I mean, a rolling cart that has compartments to keep bottles in place, and plenty of space for plates, serveware, and snacks-loooove it! I also love how this serving cart ties in the warm wood from the accent chairs.
Another feature of the Bayshore 5pc Modular that I love, besides its comfort level–is that it is lightweight and modular, which makes it easy to reconfigure to fit any corner of the deck.
|Bayshore Cocktail Table|
The Bayshore Cocktail table is amazing because it’s large and there is plenty of space to set down drinks and food or to play games. Also, because it is hollow on the underside, I’ve been able to store my decorative pillows underneath in a storage container with lid when they are not in use.

I love this view now because it’s basically night and day from before Raymour & Flanigan came to my rescue–such an improvement! The furniture alone made such a significant difference on this deck, all I had to do was add some potted plants and a few cozy textiles to really make this space a showstopper.
I can’t thank Raymour and Flanigan enough for providing us with such a gorgeous space to enjoy!
And lastly, let’s see a couple before and afters:
