Of all the seasons, Fall is most definitely my favorite of all. The colors, the cool weather, and in decor, all of the varying textures bring me so much joy.
This year we will be enjoying our first autumn at The 1878 and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
Over the past weekend, I spent some time making over this built-in China cabinet/butler’s pantry.

A little bit of sanding, some polishing, paint and some elbow grease, really gave this baby a fresh new look–so naturally, I couldn’t wait to dress it up for the season!
It’s no secret that I love to decorate for the seasons using natural elements–it’s like nature’s special gift to us! Fall is especially fun because you can find such beauty and texture in branches, leaves, and late blooming florals (and even some weeds).
One way I was able to ease into fall this year was by bringing some of these natural elements in and tucking them here and there on our butler’s pantry and in a super easy table arrangement.
I was able to add some additional texture and contrast with these adorable velvet pumpkins from Wayfair, creating two beautiful and easy vignettes.
Wayfair has a great selection of fall decor from festive wreaths, to garlands, table decor, and even pillows!
Centering the velvet pumpkins on the shelf, with live snippings from the yard, created such a beautiful contrast of soft and crisp textures.
