This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
Having recently moved into #the1878bycarli, one of our first priorities was getting our kids settled into their spaces. My daughter’s room came together quite easily with help from Christmas Tree Shops. When they reached out and asked me to check out The Grainhouse Fall Collection, I jumped at the chance, as I loved so many pieces from the Spring collection earlier this year. I like to think of The Christmas Tree Shops as my best kept little decor secret. Every time I have guests over they compliment me on this and that, and are shocked when I say “It’s from Christmas Tree Shops!”
I think a lot of the items from The Grainhouse’s Fall Collection can be put into the same category: shockingly beautiful. The Grainhouse Collection is an exclusive home and lifestyle brand that puts its stamp on today’s farmhouse inspired trend.
With many of the fall collection items featuring warm wood, metal and soft textiles, I was immediately inspired to create a boho inspired space for my teen daughter.
I don’t know what it is about a neutral color pallet that always speaks to me. I first set my sights on the large selection of pillows and chose 3 styles: One with a cool graphic print and tassels, a plain soft cream colored pillow with tassels, and an intricately woven macrame pillow for my starting point.
As I made my way through the store, so many pieces spoke to me: these black distressed frames, the black macrame wall hanging, and a warm wood hyacinth basket were definitely placed in my shopping cart..
This 3-tiered rolling cart, is super cute, and super functional for much needed storage.
When I spotted the plantation accent chair, I knew it had to come home with me. It fits perfectly in this corner for reading, or playing her instruments.
To me, the elements that make up boho decor, are casual and relaxed, like natural textiles, cool fringe, and plants, plants and more plants!
The fringe on the coverlet is so sweet, it reminds me of a vintage bedspread my great grandmother used to own.
Luckily my daughter and I share a love for the same relaxed aesthetic and she let me choose the decor for her room, with very little input (surprise, surprise!)
It’s been almost three years since she’s had a major decor overhaul, and now that she’s a little older, we rid her room of the pinks and blues, that adorned her space back then.
We are so happy with how this space turned out. Warm and neutral, calm and serene, but still fun for a teen aged girl. The Grainhouse pieces really lend a casual, livable look to blend with any style. What’s your favorite item? I’m definitely torn between the accent chair and the pillows.
I've only visited my local version of the Christmas Tree shops here in Georgia. Its called And That! I will definitely have to check it out again. I love the casual relaxed vibe of her space And you do neutral palettes so well!
Hey Erin! Thank you so much girl! I’m so happy with how this turned out— CTS made this super easy for me with such great finds!
Excellent room for your beautiful daughter. I can feel a cool relaxed and layed back vibe all over this space..
