This past year has been quite amazing! We sold our house of almost 13 years, we bought a 140-year old Victorian fixer-upper, and have been working to update and renovate it for the past 7 months!
I love this time of year because I get a chance to reflect on what I’ve accomplished over the year, and I get a chance to see what interested you all the most!
After reviewing my analytics, I’ve pulled my top 10 post of 2018, however, I’ve chosen to list them in order of post date, as opposed to most popular. Let’s check em out!
10.) My DIY Kitchen: How to Install Floating Shelves with Dakoda Love
One of the first projects I tackled last year was in our old kitchen. I worked to update our kitchen shelves and went from bracketed shelves to floating shelves, and what a huge difference it made! Learn more, by clicking here.
9.) #Springintoactionbloghop: “Mini Mud Room” Project Reveal
Next up, in April, I joined a bunch of my blogging friends to work on some spring projects and tackled our rear entry/mudroom. Stenciled floor, a new light fixture, bleached woven blinds and made quite a statement, see for yourself here.
8.) Decking it Out: Modern Coastal Blog Hop
In April, I partnered with Raymour & Flanigan on a modern coastal deck makeover. We were able to create a beautiful modern coastal oasis!
7.) Modern Kids’ Lounge
In May, I had the pleasure of transforming a space in my mom’s home. A playroom/lounge area for the grandkids. This might be one of my favorite spaces that I worked on in the past year. it makes me smile, every. time.!
6.) The 1878: Our New Old Home Tour
And then we bought our new/old home. Such an exciting, yet nerve-racking time. Come check out where we started in the 1878 here.
5.) The 1878: What’s Going On at the Almost 3-Month Mark
In August, I began working on installing shiplap in the bathroom, over the wall tiles–then my mom came over to visit mid-installation, and it’s looked pretty much like this ever since, lol. 4.) Neutral Bohemian Teen Girl’s Bedroom
In September, I teamed up with Christmas Tree Shops to check out their Grainhouse Fall Collection, and created a neutral bohemian look for my daughter’s new bedroom.
3.) Dressing Up a Drab Front Door and Keeping the Charm of an Older Home
Also in September, I put lots of sweat and (a few tears) into refinishing our front door, with help from Signature Hardware, who supplied the door knob, outdoor sconces and mail slot! Check out the transformation here.
2.) Cozy Autumn Home Tour
In the fall, my sweet friend Abbie asked me to join her Autumn blog hop, Cozy Autumn Home Tour.
I shared how fall is my absolute favorite, and how I add simple natural layers to add a touch of coziness to my home.
