This post is in collaboration with Legrand, I received product and/or compensation in exchange for this post. As always all opinions are 100% my own.
This past weekend I made some super easy upgrades to the light switches and outlets in our home, and you can do it too! To be honest, when we began tackling this home renovation, one of the last things I thought about was the type of outlets and switches to install, but when Legrand reached out to me to try out the Radiant Collection, I quickly realized that the switches and outlets that we had originally chosen, were in fact, a part of the Radiant Collection, however, through this collaboration, I was able to take my standard outlets and switches up a few notches!
Disclaimer: I consider myself a Jill of all trades, but when it came to electrical, my limit was typically installing a new light fixture, so per usual, I waited around for my husband to get the electrician here to make the switch (no pun intended) and after waiting a bit too long—I figured I would give it a shot. I was truly surprised at how easy it was to change out the switches and outlets in my home. Although I did tackle this project myself, I do have general electrical knowledge, if you do not, I highly recommend hiring a licensed electrician.
Legrand: Radiant Collection
Let’s take a peek at some of the products I chose from Legrand’s Radiant collection. From night lights to USB charging, the radiant collection helps you upgrade your home with serious convenience and style. Here are the options I chose for my home:
SWITCHES
The nightlight switch is the perfect solution for dark hallways, bathrooms, or kid’s rooms.

I chose to install one in our walk in closet and one in my son’s room. I love the fact that it has 4 levels of brightness and the nightlight can also be turned off if necessary. It also has a hidden sensor which automatically controls the nightlight.
Dimmer Switch

I’m not sure why I hadn’t considered installing a dimmer in the dining room before this, but now I feel like its a must have, allowing me to contol the ambiance and atmosphere for different occasions with a simple slide of the lever.
Paddle Switch with Locator Light
This switch is a great alternative to the nightlight switch. With a tiny locator light, it provides a slight white LED illumination to help you locate it in the dark.

OUTLETS
I love this outlet option for its automatic lighting control and the fact that its tamper resistant, which helps ease this mama’s mind.

I installed the nightlight outlet in the hallway outside of the bathroom. It’s a great way to illuminate the path for late night trips to the bathroom, especially for my little guy.

This USB charger and outlet option might be the most popular in our household. Convenience would be an understatement with this product. No more searching (or fighting over) power adapters to charge phones and tablets, this outlet is sleek and not boxy like external adapters, and you’ll always no where it is 🙂

We love it so much that we’ve installed not one, but two in our kitchen: one at our command station and another at our kitchen peninsula, where the kids tend to hang out often.
Wall Plates

I never knew what a difference changing the wall plates would make in our home. For the switches and outlets I didn’t change through this collaboration, I did change the wall plates. I never realized what an eyesore the screws on wall plate actually are! And for some reason, all of the wall plates in our home-although updated within the past year and a half, were all missing screws.

With these wall plates there’s no need to worry about misplacing those tiny screws, because there are none to be seen, now I want screwless wall plates throughout the house.
I had no idea about screw-less outlet covers… but also so relieved I’m not the only one missing those tiny screws all over my house 🙃

Oh my goodness, I got so tired of looking at my outlet covers missing screws and looking lopsided 😆
