Happy Friday Friends and happy almost fall! I shared yesterday on IG that I’m usually one to be quick to usher in the fall (my favorite season) but for some reason, I’ve been taking my time with it this year. Now that the kids are back in school it feels a little more official, so I’m going to be transitioning my home to get ready for fall and winter.

It’s no surprise that I love a neutral palette, but this year, I’ve gravitated a lot towards creams and rusts in my home, which may or may not be influenced by my the rust veining in my countertops, but either way, I think it will be very easy to add some simple fall touches to cozy up our home for the upcoming season. In thinking about fall I thought I’d round up a few of my favorite fall vignettes from the past. All are pretty simple and easy ways to add some seasonal touches to your home.
- Fall Porches: Chrysanthemums are the official flower of autumn, so I’m pretty convinced that a fall porch is not complete without mums, plus there are so many beautiful and vibrant colors to choose from.
2.) Fall Entries: I like to keep my entry pretty simple: a few pumpkins and some candles in lanterns usually do the trick.
3.) Fall Wreaths: What’s more inviting than a beautiful wreath at the door? I’m a huge fan of wreaths (and wreath alternatives), think baskets, or even hanging pinecones as I’ve done in the past.
4.) Fall Pumpkins
Tucking both faux and real pumpkins, here and there, is a great way to add a little whimsy and fall flair to your home.
5.) Fall greenery: I’m a huge fan of using natural elements in my fall decor, snipping a few branches of fall foliage is a great way to get that cozy autumn feel.
I’m excited to start adding some fall touches to our home by way of pumpkins, cozy throws, maybe a little plaid, some vases full of fall stems and of course candles!!!
