Its officially fall friends which means in the blog world I am so behind when it comes to transitioning our home for the new season. I’m not sure what it is this year but, it’s taking me much longer than usual to let go of summer.

I’m happy to announce that I’ve continued my partnership with Better Homes & Gardens and will be sharing lots more affordable home inspiration throughout the year, and this month’s assignment was to share how I enjoy my outdoor spaces in the fall.
One of the first areas I wanted to focus on was our patio. Since our siding renovation, it’s been pretty bare out here, and we haven’t spent much time outdoors with the hustle and bustle of back to school, and I wanted to change that, so we can enjoy cozy autumn nights for as long as possible.
In the spring, I bought this conversation set for the patio and we love it so much, but we were still in need of additional seating. So I decided to add this little modern loveseat and table set to create a little conversation area. Our patio isn’t very large, so our hope is to eventually expand it next year, but for now, it serves as a perfect spot to enjoy coffee or even some warm apple cider.
Speaking of warm apple cider, I recently picked up these chic coffee mugs from Walmart, and this wire and wood serving tray.
It’s perfect to corral and transport quick snacks out to the patio.
Next, to make it extra cozy, I added in some throw pillows. These flannel plaid pillow covers are perfect for the season, but are meant for indoor use, my friend Danica from Nadine Stay, suggests spraying them with sun and water shield so they hold up to the elements.
These pillow covers come as a two-pack for less than $13! Such a great deal, and they come in a few other colors as well.
To up the cozy factor even more, I draped this cozy chenille throw blanket on the set for cool mornings and evenings. It’s so soft and it’s a great size, perfect for cuddling under.
To add some ambiance, I nestled in a few of these modern black lanterns with pillar candles. The lanterns come in 3 different sizes, which you can see below. They’re so sleek and add so much character to the space.
I love them on the ground, but I’m obsessed with them hanging in my dogwood tree. 😍 In the hanging lanterns, I used Better Homes & Gardens battery operated candles, which also come in multiple sizes. I love these battery operated candles because they provide a flickering motion and can be set on a timer, which is so helpful!
Of course, I had to add in some mums, you can’t complete a fall vignette without mums! I picked up a few Better Homes & Gardens mums from the Garden center to add in some pops of color. I love the cute pumkin planter above. I used our favorite buffalo check sherpa throw blanket on the table, and created a small little vignette on the table with a pumpkin and white Better Homes & Gardens lantern.
I brought Sweetie out for the photo shoot and she was not impressed, lol.
I have this thing about nesting tables. So although the loveseat set didn’t come as a nesting table, I used this plant stand to create one.
It’s cute, and I love the subtle faux marble top. I think it’s great for when you need additional table space, but also don’t have a ton of room to store another table.
Kyle, loves our updated fall patio, and we do too! It’s especially magical at night.😍
I love how this area came together. I can’t wait to see how this looks when the leaves really start to change!
Looks great! Where can I buy the white jack o lanterns?
