One of the easiest ways to update your space for the changing seasons is to change out your pillows.  I recently took a trip to Walmart and was *so* pleasantly surprised by their stylish spring pillow assortment.  Not to mention how affordable these spring were (all under $25!)  So, of course I felt the need to share.  Today I’ve rounded up 24 affordable spring pillow options from Walmart, and I’m sharing how to make these inexpensive pillows look more expensive, as well as a few ways to combine them when styling.

Mixing High with Low

While I do occasionally spend $30+ dollars for a pillow from Target and other places. Target tends to be a go-to for home furnishings, which means, everyone has the same décor, and who wants to have a clone of someone else’s house?

I often receive messages with compliments about how well I incorporate more affordable items into my décor, while keeping things looking chic and stylish.  And one way to master this is to mix higher end items with lower items. So I may not purchase all of my pillows from Walmart, but choosing one or two to mix in with higher end pillows, creates a stylish and affordable look, where no one would know the difference–and chances are, your home won’t look like everyone else’s.

In case you might be skeptical, I actually had the opportunity to see and feel each and everyone of these pillows in store and can vouch for their quality and comfort. See below.

Swap the Insert

Another thing I was very pleasantly surprised to find, was that most of these pillows have zippers!  I love that brands are starting to do that more and more, it allows you to swap out the inserts for down or down alternative inserts to really make these affordable pillows look more expensive than they actually are!

I like to use these inserts for my pillows:

*Super important design tip:  Always size up for your insert.  If your pillow is 18″x18″, use a 20″ insert.
