Last spring I added some candle sconces to our breakfast nook. I love the look, but they weren’t very functional as I was way too scared to light them. So the other day I placed an old battery-operated holiday candle in them and had a total “Why didn’t I think of this sooner?” moment.
Flameless candles
I later jumped online to see if I could find some nice flameless taper-style candles that look a bit more realistic, and I hit the jackpot!
I ordered these candles and they are Ah-MAZING! Great quality and so much more realistic looking than my previous battery-operated candles. Don’t get me wrong, the outside is still plastic, and upon first glance, I wasn’t impressed.
But once I inserted the batteries, and compared them to my previous sets of flameless candles . . . I was amazed with how deceiving they are! See it in action below:
