2023 Blog Post Recap-Top Viewed Posts

Happy New Year Friends! As I reflect on the past year I can’t get over how fast it flew by.  I think they say as you grow older the years go by faster??? or did I just make that up? Ha! Anyway, I spent some time today rounding up the most popular blog posts/projects of 2023, so I figured we’ll take a quick little jaunt down memory lane, shall we?

1.Painted Floor Tile:

Taking the top spot, surprisingly, was the recap of our 1940s painted slate tile adventure. When I revealed my foyer makeover, a flood of messages came in from people saying, “Hey, we’ve got the same tiles!” So, I decided to backtrack a little and share an overview of the process in this post for you.

2. BUILT-IN SHELVES PT4: DIY GALLERY RAIL FOR UNDER $20

In at number 2, was my DIY GALLERY RAIL FOR UNDER $20. Let’s face it Gallery rails had a MOMENT in 2023. And while I LOVE them, I wasn’t up to spending hundreds for this project, so naturally I DIYed one. Check out the process in this post.

3. FRESHENED UP FOYER PART 2: FAUX CROWN MOLDING:

The 3rd most popular post was all about my faux “Crown Molding.”  This project was a last minute idea, but I’m so glad I went with it.  I’ve used the process to create faux crown in the past, and I’m just smitten with how well it finished the space.

4. MY FRONT PORCH, 3 WAYS FOR FALL:

My front porch for fall came in at number 4.  I partnered with Ballard Designs to share 3 beautiful ways to deck out your porch for autumn.

5. BUILT-IN SHELVES OVER KITCHEN DOORWAY PT2:

When I introduced this project, so many of you were skeptical about the concept, but I think by my second post, y’all became believers. In this post I shared the process of getting the foundation of this project going.

6. Ottoman Throw Blanket:

My throw blanket upholstered ottoman came in at number 6, which is pretty spectacular, seeing it was a fairly newer project.  This little project was one of the beginning stages to my most recent (still in progress) sitting room refresh.

8. PANTRY TURNED WINTER WORKSHOP/GIFT WRAPPING STATION:

Taking the 8th spot, was my pantry turned winter workshop/gift wrap station. This little space has come a long way and the fact that I keep coming up with new uses for it makes my heart so happy.

9. EASY 2×3 BASEMENT STORAGE SHELVES:

Necessity is the mother of inventions, and that was no different when it came to number 9.  Our basement was in desperate need of organization, so I came up with and shared all about it in this post.

10. Closing the Chapter on Cleveland:

This post was a tough one to write. Although we had high hopes for a potential move to Ohio, we made the tough decision to put our Cleveland Condo back on the market and I shared more about that decision in this post.
