Our Holiday Home 2024

Over the past few years, I’ve been a little behind on sharing these tours during the holiday season. But I always love to post them anyway because they’re such a joy to look back on. Seeing how my style evolves each year—or how I reuse and repurpose my favorite decor—is a little gift to myself. Plus, I hope it inspires you to deck your halls in a way that feels uniquely you.

This year, I’m sharing a glimpse into my kitchen, foyer, dining nook, sitting room, front porch, and of course, the pièce de résistance: our Christmas tree. Each space has its own vibe, but everything ties together with a warm, welcoming holiday charm (I like to think so, anyway).

Front Porch: It’s all about a warm welcome with a classic grapevine wreath, some lanterns, and some oversized planters filled with fresh greenery flanking the steps. I also incorporated a layered garland along the portico arch.

In the foyer, the cased opening to the sitting room got a special touch with my favorite paper bag snowflakes, which I save and reuse every year.

This time, I added a gold beaded garland to jazz it up a bit—and it made all the difference.

In the kitchen I kept things functional and festive.  I draped garland above the windows and added little pops of holiday cheer with mini trees and nutcrackers, and twinkle lights.

At the last minute, I found myself leaning into a vintage Christmas vibe and decided to sprinkle some classic red and green into the kitchen. I stumbled upon a roll of red-striped ribbon and had a lightbulb moment—why not turn it into a ribbon chain garland?

Paired with a DIY tiny bell garland, it was a simple, nostalgic touch, and now I can’t imagine the space without it. It adds just the right amount of charm and whimsy, tying the whole kitchen together in the most delightful way.

Dining Nook: Simple and intimate, I went with arrangements of fresh greenery, some garland above the windows and swapped out my pillows for a more festive touch.

My antique secretary desk got a festive update with a collection of thrifted brass candlesticks.

I arranged them at varying heights to create a warm, layered glow, and added a touch of greenery for a holiday feel.

The mix of vintage charm and flickering candlelight turned this little corner into one of my favorite views in the house.

Sitting Room: This space feels extra magical with a mix of plaid and faux fur pillows, and twinkling lights.

Christmas Tree: Ah, the tree! This year, I went for a gold theme this year. So much so that I spent an entire day cutting up beaded garlands to make dangly gold “earings” for the tree, the photos don’t do it any justice what so ever.

While my timing may not always be “on schedule,” sharing my holiday decor always brings me so much joy. I hope this little tour leaves you with a sprinkle of inspiration and a lot of holiday cheer. Embracing the magic of the season—no matter when I get to share it. Happy holidays, friends!
