This post is in collaboration with Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! A brand I’ve grown up with and love! As always, all expressed opinions are 100% mine.
It’s in the air, friends, do you feel it? SPRING! And with the beautiful season of spring, comes Easter. This year it falls on April Fools Day! Well, you want to know who’s no fool? This girl right here, because I’ve partnered with Christmas Tree Shops to share 5 tips for an easy and elegant Easter Tablescape, did I mention (inexpensive too?–should have figured a way to squeeze that into the title!)
Christmas Tree Shops andThat! is my go-to spot for fun finds at affordable prices! The seasonal assortment is exciting and ever-changing, check out a sampling of their Easter selection above. Lots of these items are also available online.
Tip #1.) Be Inspired: Find and item to lead your plan
My inspiration for this tablescape all started with these gilded Easter bowls. I fell completely in love with the crisp white and dainty scalloped edges, the delicate floral design on the sides, and the adorable bunny surprise on the inside/bottom of the bowl. And best of all, they are only $3.99 each!
Tip #2.) Follow the Lead: Find items that coordinate.
Christmas Tree Shops is my go-to for entertaining. I can always find exactly what I’m looking for there. As was the case with these gold chargers for $1.50 each. Sticking with a gold and white theme, I also added these inexpensive white cloth napkins, which were part of a four pack for $3.99, gold flatware, and those beautiful faceted glass lanterns, filled with speckled bird’s eggs.
Tip #3.) Choose Something (or a few) Unexpected things
The little wooden distressed bunny napkin rings were too adorable to pass up! They offer a little rustic to my glam, with their slightly whitewashed distressed detail. I think this little touch of natural wood balances out the gold chargers, flatware and the traditional, almost toile bowl design.
I also chose some unexpected, velvety placemats in a deep green and placed them across the width of the table as a runner. I think it really helps to make the gold and white pop, and also coordinated nicely with the pale pastel decorative bird’s eggs.
Tip #4): Add Some Whimsy
Because I wanted to keep an elegant look, I passed on the kitschy multicolored Easter decor, and stuck with some solid white and gold ceramic (or resin in my case) bunny votive holder/statues. I chose both because I couldn’t decide. I tucked these little decorative statues/votive holders down the center of my table, nestled with pale, pastel speckled bird eggs, which helped to add a hint of color to my table.
Tip #5): Don’t forget the Flowers: April Showers bring May Flowers, right?
This is my favorite way to add color to a table, really just some fresh greenery would have done the trick, but what’s Easter without a few tulips tucked in, here and there? This arrangement was placed in an oversized glass lantern, which I scored for less than 10 bucks!
Now run, don’t walk to your local Christmas Tree Shops to stock up on your Easter Decor!
Carli!! Your Easter tablescape is gorgeous. I LOVE all the details, especially the bunnies on the bowl. I wish there was a Christmas Tree Shop near me.
Thank you Whitney! I fell in love with that plate/bowl collection. Do you have an And That! Store in New Orleans?
