Hi friends! Last month, I teamed up with Home Depot for something we’ve been wanting to do for a while—build a platform deck!
When we bought this house we inherited a dated screened patio on a small concrete slab. And while we tried our best to update it . . .
By removing the plastic lattice and swirly details . . .
AND spray painting the metal frame to make it look a little more modern.
We decided to remove it when we had our siding renovation.
But there was one problem—-we were left with the tiny concrete slab patio. At only about 8 feet deep and about 16 feet wide—it didn’t allow much space for furniture placement.
But now, our new deck is 12’x20’ which gives us lots more space for entertaining and enjoying time together as a family. We absolutely love it, it’s like it was meant to be! You can see more about the process of this transformation on Home Depot’s blog.
